This Privacy Policy describes how Birthday Tracker handles your information. Our primary goal is to help you remember important dates while ensuring your personal information never leaves your device.

Data We Access (Permissions)

To provide its core functionality, Birthday Tracker requests the following permissions:

Contacts (READ_CONTACTS): Used to automatically find and display birthdays already stored in your phone's address book.
Calendar (READ_CALENDAR): Used to sync and display birthdays from your Google Calendar or other linked accounts.
Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used to send you timely reminders so you never miss a birthday.

How We Handle Your Data

Local Processing: All data retrieved from your contacts or calendar is processed locally on your device. We do not "collect" this data in a traditional sense, as it is never transmitted to us or any third party.

Local Storage: Birthdays you enter manually or choose to import are stored in a secure local database on your own device. This data is used only to display your birthday list and trigger notifications.

No Third-Party Sharing: We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your information to outside parties. There are no analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising SDKs included in the app.

Data Retention and Deletion

As all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it:

You can delete individual birthdays within the app at any time.
You can remove all app data by going to Android Settings > Apps > Birthday Tracker > Storage > Clear Data.
Uninstalling the app will automatically remove all locally stored birthday data.

Compliance with Google Play Policies

This app complies with the latest Google Play Developer Program Policies, including the requirements for data minimization and secure data handling. We only request permissions necessary for the app's stated core features.
