This page explains how to permanently delete your ArachniDex account and associated cloud data.

Delete your account inside ArachniDex
The quickest way to delete your account is directly through the ArachniDex app.
- Open ArachniDex.
- Open Settings.
- Open the Account & Data section.
- Select Delete account and cloud data.
- Read the confirmation information carefully.
- Confirm that you want to permanently delete the account.
You may be asked to sign in again if Google or Firebase requires recent authentication before completing the deletion.
Request deletion without the app
If you no longer have access to ArachniDex, you can request account deletion by email.
Email an account deletion requestPlease send the request from the email address connected to your ArachniDex account where possible.
Please include:
- The email address connected to the account.
- Your ArachniDex keeper or display name, if known.
- A clear statement that you want your ArachniDex account and associated cloud data permanently deleted.
We may ask for additional information to confirm that you own the account before deletion is completed. Never send your password.
Data deleted with your account
When an ArachniDex account deletion is completed, the following account-associated data is deleted where present:
- Your Firebase Authentication account.
- Your account email address and Firebase user identifier.
- Your keeper name and display-name reservation.
- Your profile information.
- Your custom uploaded profile avatar.
- Your cloud backups.
- Your cloud collection records.
- Your wishlist records.
- Your feeding and molt history stored in the cloud.
- Your breeding records stored in the cloud.
- Your value-history records stored in the cloud.
- Your cloud milestone and achievement records.
- Other cloud data associated with your ArachniDex account.
Local data on your device
When account deletion is completed through the app, ArachniDex also clears the account-related local data held by the app on that device.
If deletion is requested by email, you should also uninstall ArachniDex or clear its app storage on any device where local data remains.
Individual record deletion
You do not need to delete your entire account to remove individual animal, wishlist, feeding, molt, breeding, value or profile records.
Individual records can be edited or deleted from within ArachniDex. Where automatic cloud backup is active, supported changes may also be reflected in the associated cloud backup.
Google Play purchases and subscriptions
Deleting your ArachniDex account does not automatically cancel an active Google Play subscription.
Subscriptions must be cancelled separately through Google Play:
- Open the Google Play Store.
- Open your profile menu.
- Select Payments & subscriptions.
- Select Subscriptions.
- Select ArachniDex and follow the cancellation instructions.
Purchase, subscription, payment, tax, fraud-prevention and transaction records controlled by Google may be retained by Google according to its own legal and operational requirements.
Retention and legal obligations
ArachniDex does not intentionally retain deleted account data after the deletion process has been completed, except where limited information must be retained temporarily for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal compliance or enforcement of agreements.
Data held in technical backups may take a limited period to age out of backup systems where immediate removal is not technically possible.
Processing time
In-app deletion is normally processed immediately, although technical services may take additional time to complete removal.
Email deletion requests will normally be reviewed and completed within 30 days after account ownership has been verified.
Deletion is permanent
Account deletion cannot normally be undone. Deleted cloud backups, profile information and collection records may not be recoverable.
Export any records you want to keep before starting account deletion.
